Since 1990, I have been producing periodicals, marketing packages, and books for clients across several industries and disciplines. I work closely with my clients and printers to create effective packages to promote their businesses or causes.
Since 1998, I have been the designer and typesetter for our family business, Adams Press. We have helped authors produce textbooks, business books, fiction, memoirs, and children’s books on a wide range of budgets and print run sizes. I have also worked independently with authors and editors to design and produce books for professional organizations, independent authors, and businesses.
For 14 years (until the dissolution of the organization), I was the designer and production artist for Midwest Engineer, the magazine of the Western Society of Engineers. Working closely with the editor and executive director, I built this quarterly magazine with provided copy as well as custom and stock photography. Later I took over the production of American Garage, a print and then web-based magazine about electric vehicles, the American automotive industry, and the lure of the open road.
